Since 2009, GIZ, BAPPENAS and Ministry of Transportation have been working together to improve the conditions for urban transport in Indonesia at both the national and cities’ level.
In a multi-stakeholder dialogue, SUTIP supports its partners in the implementation of sustainable urban transport schemes in selected cities: Bogor, Surakarta, Yogyakarta and Palembang. In order to reduce greenhouse gas emission from the transport sector, to promote environmentally compatible, energy efficient and climate friendly urban transport schemes and also to contribute to an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable development.
SUTIP Programs in Yogyakarta SUTIP-Yogyakarta at glance has several progressive project which has been started since 2008:
- Improve sustainable Transport Zones in Malioboro, Godean and Kotagede district.
- Transit system improvement.
- Citywide Parking management.
